Valle Catholic recently celebrated the 2017 version of Catholic Schools Week. This year’s theme was “Catholic Schools: Communities of Faith, Knowledge and Service.” The logo features a swirl of colors interacting around a cross, which is at the center of all Catholic education.
Monday was opening day and an all school assembly was held which included prayer, a game and the school song. During Knowledge Day students played board games, trivia and brain quests in their classrooms. During Teacher Appreciation Day some students took on the role of teacher as they read to classes. The Valle Patrons Club provided lunch for faculty and staff.
The 2nd Annual Talent Show was held to celebrate our terrific students. Acts included gymnastics, magic tricks, dance & musical numbers and a science experiment. High school students took part in a Bunco competition in the Valle cafeteria.
Some began Student Day by reciting the Rosary together.
Students made ‘Thank You’ posters for local businesses on Service and Community Day.
Some students made personal deliveries to area business to submit their cards.

Catholic Schools Week is always a special time to recognize the treasure we have in our schools. It presents an excellent opportunity to focus on the value Catholic education provides to young people and its contributions to our church, our communities and our nation.
