On Wednesday, April 18, 2018, Pastor Fr. Edward Nemeth and Valle Catholic High School Principal, Mr. Paul Hinman welcomed representatives from the Archdiocese of St. Louis’ Annual Catholic Appeal to the 8:00 Mass at Ste. Genevieve Catholic Church. The reason for the visit was twofold: to honor ACA Essay Winners and to present the school with a donation check.
The $130,000 check was accepted by essay winners: Bryce Palmer, son of William and Veronica Palmer; Kellen Blum, son of Kris and Shannon Blum; and April Flieg, daughter of Tim and Connie Flieg, all juniors at Valle Catholic High School.
The theme of the 2018 appeal, “Tell Your Story,” highlights the charitable works funded by the ACA and shows how ordinary people are greatly impacted by the generosity of Catholics in the archdiocese.
