Bishop Rice reminded the gathering that the theme of this year’s Annual Catholic Appeal is a call to have “the courage to love.”  He told the congregation that courage comes from the Latin word meaning to do something out of love – using your whole heart. When we imitate Jesus, we are acting out of love.
