Ste. Genevieve Chief of Police, Eric Bennett, assisted by R2 School Resource Officer Christy Clark and R2 School-Home Coordinator Mrs. Stephanie Gegg visited all grade levels on Wednesday, November 8th to discuss student response in the event of an intruder in the building. The presenters then visited each classroom to examine specific scenarios within each location.
Individual points of the ALICE (Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, Evacuate) training were highlighted. Time was allowed for questions and answers.
Before this date students either read the book, “I’m Not Scared, I’m Prepared!” or viewed the video about what to do in case of an emergency.
