The Valle Catholic Kindergarten Program held their annual Screening recently. The purpose of a kindergarten screening is not to test how much a child knows, but rather to check if a child is developmentally ready to start kindergarten or if a child will need any additional support in the classroom.
It’s also a great way to familiarize the children with their new school/surroundings. Some skills tested are self-care skills, cognitive skills, gross & fine motor skills, and language skills.
