5th Graders at Valle Catholic under the guidance of Science teacher, Ms. Natalie Grass recently completed a unit on the two types of energy: potential energy and kinetic energy. Potential energy is stored energy and kinetic energy is energy in motion.
To show their knowledge of the two different types of energy, they created their own roller coasters with labeled carts. Roller coasters have been around in some form since the 17th century, but you have probably never seen those created by the 5th Graders. Included are a few pictures. Which one would you ride?!
